Devotio

Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 23, 2026

In short: Devotio asks for no account and no login. The content of your prayers, examinations of conscience and intentions, your rule of life and your progress are stored on your own device. To improve the app, we collect usage data — including through Google Analytics and infrastructure providers.

1. Who we are

Devotio is a Catholic app for prayer and for following the liturgy, available as an iOS app and as a web app (PWA) at devotio.me. This policy describes how we handle information when you use the app.

2. What stays on your device

The most personal information is stored locally on your device (in the app's storage) and we have no access to its content:

Deleting the app (or clearing the browser's data, in the web version) removes this information from the device.

3. Usage data

To understand how the app is used and to improve it, we collect usage data. Among it:

What we do not collect: the content of your prayers, examinations of conscience or intentions — that content stays only on your device (section 2).

4. Third-party services

We use providers that help us measure usage and operate the service. They handle the usage data described above according to their own privacy policies and may employ their own identifiers:

5. Notifications

If you turn on prayer reminders, they are scheduled and delivered locally on your device. You can turn them off at any time in the app's settings or in the system's. We do not send notifications from servers.

6. Children

The app is not directed to children and does not ask anyone for personal registration data. Since there is no login, we do not build personal user profiles.

7. Your rights

Since we ask for no registration and for no name, e-mail or identity document, we keep no profile that identifies you personally. The personal data under your control is on the device itself and you remove it by deleting the app. In compliance with the Brazilian LGPD (Law 13.709/2018), questions and requests about the usage data may be made through the contact below.

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights over personal data — for example under the GDPR (European Economic Area and United Kingdom) or the CCPA/CPRA (California). Because there is no account, we hold no record that identifies you personally; requests about the usage data described in section 3 may be made through the same contact below.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Relevant changes will be published on this page, with the effective date updated.
